ODESSA -- Odessa High girls basketball coach Harry Masch has resigned.

ECISD Athletic Director Todd Vesley confirmed to Big 2 News, Masch has called it quits after 23 years as the girls head basketball coach.

"I'm at a time in my life when I need to step aside and let somebody else try it," Masch told Vesley. "The School has been very generous to me and I think the time is right."

Masch's last season with the Lady Bronchos was a forgettable one. OHS finished with an overall record of 4-28, and rode a 23 game losing streak, until the final of the season.

The position has been posted online. Masch intends to continue teaching at ECISD.
