MIDLAND -- Three family members accused of stealing copper wire from a pickup truck in Midland.

Blake Scott Holcomb of Midland, Charles Trent Holcomb of Odessa and Gordon Byron Holcomb III of Odessa were arrested on February 20th.

Midland Police say that Blake, 25, Charles, 23, and Gordon, 29, stole three spools of copper wire from the bed of a pickup truck that was parked near the intersection of Mark Lane and Dengar Avenue around 1 AM on February 20th.

A Midland police officer who was on patrol in the area reportedly spotted the three men acting suspicious before driving away in a 4-door Dodge passenger car.

The officer pulled over the car (which Gordon Holcomb was allegedly driving), and he reportedly found the stolen wire inside.

Now, all 2 men are charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.

As of Friday evening, all 3 men were being held in the Midland County Detention Center on $25,000 bond apiece.
