ODESSA -- An Odessa woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend several times during an early morning argument.

Christina Almanza McDaniel was arrested early Monday morning.

Odessa Police say that McDaniel, 41, got into an argument with her boyfriend at a home in the 1300 block of North Lincoln Avenue around midnight Tuesday.

McDaniel's boyfriend reportedly hit her in the face, but officers say she stabbed the man in the right arm and the left side of the neck.

McDaniel also reportedly pepper sprayed her boyfriend after the stabbing.

The victim was rushed to Medical Center Hospital after the incident, and McDaniel was arrested.

Now, McDaniel is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

As of Monday evening, McDaniel was being held in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center without a posted bond.
