MIDLAND -- A house fire in midland claims the lives of a father and daughter.

79-year-old Marvin Blake and his daughter, 49-year-old Laurie Pagett were found dead when Midland fire crews responded to the residence just after noon yesterday.

The fire was no longer active when they arrived. It actually put itself out.

Another daughter of blake was going over to visit when she noticed her sister lying by the front door. She called 911.

The fire started in the den but what started it is still unknown. A fire extinguisher was found with the pin pulled from it.

This fire is still under investigation.
