WELLMAN -- A lot of lives have been lost to texting and driving. Because of this, the Remembering Alex Brown Foundation is sponsoring a National Day of Awareness to help end texting and driving.

Alex Brown of Wellman lost her life during a texting and driving accident a few years ago. Now, her family is trying to spread the message of the dangers associated with texting and driving.

"We hope that you share this with your family, your friends and your co-workers," the family said in an internet video. "Even strangers, when you see them driving -- figure out a way to nicely tell them to put their phones down."

The Browns' video streamed live on the internet three times Monday -- at 10 AM, 1 PM and 4 PM.
