Border Patrol Agents Make $5 Million Drug Bust

Agents with the Marfa Sector seized more than $5 million worth of Cocaine at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint on Saturday. A K-9 unit found the drugs in an 18-wheeler stopped at the checkpoint. Agents searched the big rig and found more than 160 pounds of cocaine inside.
Agents also seized more than 44 pounds of marijuana, 25 pounds of cough syrup, and more than $150,000 cash. A 50-year-old man from Mississippi was driving the truck, and a 28-year-old man from Georgia was a passenger.
Both men were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency, along with the drugs and money.
