Midland Man Arrested For Leading Trooper On Chase While Drunk

MIDLAND -- A Midland man is behind bars, accused of driving drunk and leading a D.P.S. trooper on a chase.
Douglas Wright, 51, was arrested on Sunday. According to an arrest affidavit, a D.P.S. trooper saw Wright speeding on Business 20 over the weekend.
The trooper tried to pull over Wright's vehicle, but he led that trooper on short chase. The pursuit ended when Wright's vehicle rolled over. Wright was reportedly drunk, and he was arrested.
Now, Wright's facing D.W.I. Charges, along with evading arrest with a vehicle. He's being held on $20,500 bond.
