MIDLAND -- In January, M.I.S.D. Superintendent Ryder Warren reported that 100 students had come forward in need of pregnancy services.

Less than 3 months later, 54 more students have come forward, saying they're pregnant. Teen pregnancy is clearly a growing problem for the district. After speaking with the public and the Student Health Advisory Council, Warren says he'll be going before M.I.S.D. Board of Trustees to recommend a curriculum called "It's Your Game, Keep It Real."

The "abstinence-plus" program would teach students that the only way to totally avoid the negative effects of sex would be not to have it. This particular curriculum also gives information about birth control and protection.

Warren will be speaking to trustees on March 29th.
