Teen Hit By Car In Odessa

ODESSA -- A teenager was seriously injured Tuesday night, after he was hit by a car.

    According to Odessa Police, the teen was heading westbound in a vehicle in the 4100 block of east 42nd street when that vehicle ran out of gas. The teen and a woman tried to push the disabled vehicle out of the roadway, but a Chevy smashed into the teen, injuring his leg.

    The teen was taken to the emergency room at Medical Center Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. His name has not been released.

    Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevy -- 26-year-old Ashlie Devanie -- was cited for failure to control speed.
