HI Champions

Nearly everyone is familiar with the stories of healthy young athletes dying unexpectedly while engaging in a sporting event.  These stories are stark reminders that sudden cardiac death can happen to anyone- even seemingly healthy people who are not considered "at risk."

Midland Memorial Hospital is taking steps to help combat these devastating events by providing a free heart screening for young athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. 

To help detect the conditions that cause sudden cardiac death, Midland Memorial Hospital is hosting the championship hearts foundation screening event in conjunction with the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.

If you're a young athlete, Midland Memorial Hospital wants to make sure you stay in the game with a healthy heart. Join us on August 20th at the Midland Memorial Hospital Main Campus, Illinois lobby.

To participate in this free event, students must have the permission of their parent or guardian, who is also required to be present during the screening. Space is limited, so you must pre-register for this event. For more information, or to register, visit  midland-memorial.com
