MIDLAND -- The Early College High School at Midland College is hosting several events Driver Safety Week.

Driver Safety Week is an an effort to keep people from dying behind the wheel because of dangerous driving habits.

Stop D.W.I. Inc. was at the school on Monday to show students the dangers of driving while drunk. They brought a Go-Kart and cones to the parking lot outside of the Allison Fine Arts Building at Midland College -- and they set up an obstacle course there. Stop D.W.I. rigged the Go-Kart and representatives had the teens drive around the course -- so that they saw firsthand how dangerous drunk driving can be.

On Tuesday, a spokesperson will talk to the students about the dangers of texting and driving.
