MIDLAND -- The Midland Park Mall is about to get a huge facelift.

A press conference was held Wednesday to discuss mall renovations, which should be taking place starting on June 1st. Midland Park Mall has been around for 31 years, and the mall manager says now is the best time for this renovation.

"The economy in midland is booming and you have to have a return on your investment," manager Alice Church told Big 2. "So I think the time is right. It's just time to do it and we want to keep our shopping venue looking new and exciting."

The project includes a new food court, soft seating areas, new entrances, a new children's play area, and new restrooms. The renovations are expected to be finished in time for the Christmas season.
