MIDLAND COUNTY -- Crews were dealing with a grass fire south of Midland Thursday afternoon.

The blaze broke out near County Road 1200 and West County Road 150 around 2:45 PM Thursday. The blaze torched 50 acres before crews from Midland, Greenwood and Northeast Midland County were able to contain it.

No structures were damaged and no one was injured, but a volunteer fire truck rolled over at Interstate 20 and Cloverdale on the way to the blaze.

Fuel spilled onto the roadway, but the driver of the truck was not badly hurt.

The Midland County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze. Meanwhile, South County Road 1200 was closed south of West County Road 150 as of 5:00 PM Thursday.
