MIDLAND -- Midland teachers are hoping the community will lend out a helping hand towards fire victims.

This weekend, the Midland Teachers Credit Union -- along with the Red Cross and Farmers Insurance -- is collecting all kinds of goods to help out the people that need it.

"We got all those trucks and trailer out here and will be collecting clothes, household items, pet supplies, diapers, you name it," Michelle Forest of Midland Teachers Credit Union told Big 2.

Volunteers collected donations until 5 PM Friday at 1515 North Midland Drive. They will continue collecting Saturday from 9 AM-noon.
