The Rock House Fire has been burning for almost a week. The blaze has torched 166,000 acres, along with 34 of homes and 2 businesses in Fort Davis.
The fire is now listed as 70 percent contained, and roads that were closed in the area earlier in the week have now been re-opened. Crews have been trying to hold fire lines, to keep the blaze from spreading further.
The Texas Forest Service has sent 8 engines, along with air tankers and helicopters. A base camp has been set up in Fort Davis State Park.
