Crews Battle Fire Near Midland Airport

MIDLAND -- Crews were battling a brush fire near Midland International Airport Monday afternoon.

The blaze broke out along Business 20 southeast of the airport around 5 PM Monday. Crews had to close Business 20 for about 15 minutes as they worked to put out the blaze.

After the highway reopened, crews worked on cleaning up hot spots, but there was still a lot of smoke in the area.
