MIDLAND -- Midland County Sheriff's deputies are looking for an Odessa man, after they say he kidnapped his ex-girlfriends children.

Police say Jose Luis Escobedo attacked his ex-girlfriend back on April 15th. He later allegedly took off in the victim's car with the kids in the backseat.

The next day, deputies say Escobedo ditched the car with the the kids, then attacked the woman again before taking off. Fortunately, the kids weren't hurt.

Now, deputies are trying to find Escobedo. They add that he is also wanted on criminal mischief charges out of Ector County.

If you have any information on Escobedo's whereabouts, call the Midland County Sheriff's Office at (432) 688-4600 or call Midland Crimestoppers at (432) 694-TIPS (8477).
