KERMIT -- The trial against a former Winkler County Sheriff will be held in the Tall City.

Robert Roberts is accused of retaliating against two nurses who filed a complaint at Winkler Memorial Hospital in 2009. The trial was supposed to be held in Kermit, but prosecutors asked to move the trial Monday, since they thought the jury pool favored Roberts.

The request was delayed, as Judge Mumcy recused himself from the case. But Judge Moore stepped in and decided to move the trial to Midland.

That trial should start on June 6th.
