Eddy County Sex Offender Sweep Successful

EDDY COUNTY -- The Eddy County Sheriff's Department conducted a sex offender sweep this week -- with great success.
With help from other agencies, Sheriff Ernest Mendoza held a four-day sweep to make sure sex offenders were registered properly in Eddy County. The county manages 180 offenders and one arrest was made for a probation violation during the sweep. Another offender is being investigated for violating a registration requirement.
The rest of the group were found to be compliant.
