Tall City Blues Fest Announces Lineup

MIDLAND -- Tall City Blues Fest announces its performer line-up.

The festival takes place the last weekend in July (July 29-31) in downtown Midland's Centennial Park and will feature 17 different performers. Other activities include a BBQ Cook-Off, a trade show featuring artisan's handmade original art, Music Memorabilia Museum, VIP Packages, indoor acoustic performances, FREE Performing Artist Presentations, Behind the Music Q&A Panel with Musicians, Midnight Troubadours, Authentic Cajun Cooking and a Best Buy Gaming Lounge.  Tall City Blues Fest is a family-friendly Festival.


The outdoor performance schedule is as follows:

Friday Performers (Gates open at 3 PM)

                4PM-Bernie Pearl (Orange County, CA)        

                4:45 PM-Burt Herrin & The Global Warming Band (Midland, TX)

                6PM-Andy Macintyre & The Primal Groove (Austin, TX)

                7PM-Billy Hendrix Experiment (Odessa, TX)

                8PM-Woody Russell (Austin, TX)

                9PM-Diddley Squat (Marshall, TX)

                10:15PM-Smokin' Joe Kubek w/ special guest Bnois King (Dallas, TX)

Saturday Performers (Gates open at 9 AM)

                11 AM-e-Flat Porch Band (McKinney, TX)

                12 PM-Gasoline Alley (San Angelo, TX)

                1 PM-Jennifer B. & The Groove Kings (Austin, TX)

                2:15-Jeff Strahan (New Braunfels, TX)

                3:30-John Lisi & The Delta Funk (New Orleans, TX)

                6PM-St. Blues Band (Midland, TX)

                7PM-James Hinkle (Ft. Worth, TX)

                8PM-James Boogaloo Bolden Blues Band (Houston, TX)

                9:30PM-Eddie Turner (Denver, CO)

Times are approximate and may be adjusted by +- 1 hour. 


Acoustic performances will also take place inside the Midland Center.  Schedule is as follows:

Weekend Festival passes are $40 and allow for come-and-go entrance throughout the weekend.  The Community Blues Jam on Sunday, July 31st is free to anyone in the community.
