MIDLAND---Midlanders will want to get there trash outside earlier than usual. The Solid Waste Department will begin trash pick-up route at 6:00 AM starting Monday morning because it's getting to hot outside.

This will help trucks and drivers stay cool for an additional hour throughout the day. This also helps route be completed with fewer truck breakdowns and heat related issues. The City of Midland says this well help Solid Waste Department workers get the job done quickly and safely.
