High pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will keep storm chances limited to the higher elevations in the mountains. Everywhere else, sunny skies and intense, near record level heat expected today and lasting into the weekend! Triple digit heat makes a return to the forecast with 102 today, 103 Wednesday and 102 Thursday. Friday and into the weekend the century mark will be more likely and don't look toward the evenings for cooler weather. After sunset each evening temps will only cool slowly with temps hanging in the upper 80's by midnight and lower 70's by sunrise. Not much relief from the heat this week so be sure to drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks and try to find some shade or a/c throughout the day. Heat sickness can come on quickly with little to no warning. If you feel dizzy or light headed immediately take precautions!
