The longest streak of consecutive days above 100 degrees is 14. Today marks day #7 for our current streak with a 5 day forecast full of triple digit heat! The only relief we get from the heat is nighttime temps bottoming out in the 70's and isolated t-storms. Expect this weather pattern to continue. Triple digit heat likely through the work-week and into the weekend, mornings in the 70's and isolated t-storms each afternoon. The main difference each day will be the location of the storms. today they ill be mainly located in the Trans-Pecos and southern Permian Basin. By Wednesday, a cold front will push south into the northern Basin bringing more unsettled weather to other parts of West Texas. Still too early to pinpoint locations but keep in mind that Wednesday could be another repeat of last Friday when local flood advisories and hours of heavy rain fell just north of the Basin.
