Now that our high pressure, the one that gavce us the hottst June on record, has moved east we can start adding rain chances to the forecast. Storms will develop this afternoon in the mountains to the west and the northern Permian Basin but most of us will stay dry. Only isolated storms likely but storms nonetheless in an extremely dry area. Despite that cloud, plenty of sunshine will get through as temps top off in the upper 90's near 98 today, 99 Tuesday. Triple digit heat returns Wednesday till the weekend as the high moves back into the Basin, this will also get rid of any chances for rain after Tuesday.
