Sign up Now to Take Part in National Night Out

MIDLAND -- National Night Out is less than three weeks away.
National Night out is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 6 - 9:00 PM.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The city of Midland will be participating in the national event again this year, and the police department is encouraging residents to sign up now to host block parties for the event.
