Petroleum Museum Receives $3,000

Midland - The Petroleum Museum received a generous gift from a group of young men and women working in the local energy industry.
The Midland-Odessa Chapter of Young Professionals in Energy presented a $3,000 check to Kathy Shannon, the museum's executive director, during their 3rd Annual Mentor-Mentee night on Thursday.The money will go to the Petroleum Museum's capital campaign.
Following the ceremony, Petroleum Museum staffers got to take the Chaparral 2 car for spin around the museum's parking lot.
YPE raised the money during their 2nd Annual Crude Run 5k in May.
