We hit 99 yesterday thanks to some clouds in the afternoon hours. Today we can expect the same skies with more heat, 101 is my forecast for today. Isolated storms will pop up this afternoon east of the Permian Basin and one or two may drift into the far eastern Basin but most of us will stay dry. The triple digit heat sticks around for a couple days as we shift our focus back to the west. Monsoonal Moisture will creep east and into the mountains to the west later this week. This will drop our weekend temps in to the 90's and bring storms potentially into the forecast!
