Temperatures will cool a bit today and into the weekend before a quick return to the 100 Monday of next week. Along with the slight cool down, storm chances will be on the increase. The continuous pipeline of monsoonal moisture will nudge closer to the Permian Basin. This will help a few scattered storms pop up each afternoon this weekend. Sunday stand  to be the Permian Basin's best chance for rain but plan for a mostly dry weekend.
