No doubt this will be a summer for the record books, in fact by the end of the week this year will be known as having  the most triple digit days. It's not just here in the Permian Basin though, Oklahoma last month had the hottest average temperature of any month of any state! Dallas has been in the 100s since July 1st (98 degrees July 1st) and isn't showing signs of cooling off much. High pressure will continue to dominate and for the Basin, look for triple digits and heat advisories to continue into the weekend. By Saturday, 90's will make a return but don't expect a major cool down as sunny skies and light winds will keep us very hot.
