When J.W. Brake and his wife started Rig Works in July of 2005, they weren't even sure what they wanted to do with the business. "But we knew we wanted to do something and we prayed on that. We try to follow God's direction as much as we can. It seems to work out better," says J.W. Brake, Rig Works president.

It certainly worked out. The Brake's decided they wanted to manufacture rigs. Now they sell them to oil companies across the world. In fact, they just sold their 100th rig. But according to Brake, the business is part of a bigger plan.

Brake quotes Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." Bible verses like that have changed his life, and now he's using those verses to help change the lives of his employees.

"I've been here for five years, and it's definitely been a life-changing move for me," says Scott Ferry, Rig Works paint shop foreman.

When Brake and his wife renovated the building, they put in a prayer room for employees, and they also have Bible study every Tuesday. "With our Bible study on Tuesdays and with J.W. & Mrs. Brake, I've since came to the Lord and been re-born, and it's just been an awesome deal," say Ferry.

Ferry is one of many employees that share the same story. "It's changed my life completely. I re-dedicated my life to the Lord here. It's an awesome place to work," says Paul Mendz, Rig Works machinist.

Although Brake is the person that exposed his workers to the Lord, he takes no credit. Brake says, "It's not me changing their life. It's God changing their life. It's quite humbling though that God uses us as instruments here."

And now they're spreading the message to others.

"God is good. He saved my life, and he can do the same for you," says Demorian Thompson, Rig Works welder.
