As of this morning, Irene was a category 2 hurricane with a high likelihood of being upgraded to a category 3 this afternoon. The main concern with Irene this weekend will be the massive amounts of rain she will deliver to the East coast and NE states. Also, winds will be as strong as 70 mph across areas of the US that aren't prepared for. Other than the wind and rain, the storm surge along the coast and waves over 30 feet high are possible. Stay tuned for more details!
