MISD Redrawing Districts

By: Dylan Brooks
Updated: October 12, 2011
MIDLAND -- MISD spoke about redrawing trustee districts Tuesday night.

The district is also in the process of developing improvement plans for every campus.
Panels are made up of administrators, teachers, and parents, and are meant to highlight some of the schools biggest needs.
Classrooms and more of them are quickly becoming a big need in MISD, because of the population increase. Seventy-five classrooms have more students than they should.
The district got a waiver for those overloaded classrooms, but that will only cover them for a one year period.
These action plans are presented to the TEA.
