ATLANTA, GA  --  An advisory committee of the CDC is recommending HPV vaccinations for boys.

The panel voted unanimously to recommend the routine use of Gardasil for boys as young as age eleven.

The Centers for Disease Control already recommends HPV vaccinations for girls and women, but had previously stopped short of recommending its use for boys.

HPV is the nation's number-one sexually transmitted disease.

It's estimated at least 50-percent of sexually active people will get the virus at some point in their lives.
