It's not just the airlines pinching pennies... now some hotel chains are tacking on the fees too. What they're charging for might surprise you.
Taking a dip in the swimming pool and other resort fees, some running as high as $40. Some hotels are even charging to access the gym, for early check-ins, holding your luggage, and using the safe already in the room
These come on top of the increasing fees for wi-fi, roll away beds, and even making phone calls.
Some hotel chains have sworn off these kinds of fees, saying they value customer loyalty and satisfaction more than a few extra bucks.
A recent NYU study says these charges are up 80% over the last decade. Hotels are projected to bank nearly $2 billion on fees and surcharges.
