Southeast winds return today bumping our temps about 10 degrees warmer than Thursday! Look for upper 60's and a few lower 70's today before the strong winds return Saturday. Temps will be a bit warmer with highs closer to 80 but the wind will be a major weather topic. Gusts will reach up to 40 mph with areas of blowing dust and elevated fire danger as a weak cold front sweeps through the Permian Basin. Sunday, after the front passes, expect a fantastic afternoon with sunny skies and temps in the lower 70's. Our next chance for rain comes Monday but models are still a bit iffy on location and timing but we will have updates right here as it gets closer.
