MIDLAND COUNTY -- Two men were killed in a nasty crash in south Midland County Tuesday evening.

The crash happened at the intersection of F.M. 1788 and F.M. 1787 around 6:30 PM Tuesday.

Department of Public Safety troopers tell Big 2 that a pickup truck was heading north on F.M 1788 when the driver ran a stop sign. An 18-wheeler heading west on F.M. 1787 t-boned the pickup -- sending that pickup into a telephone pole.

The driver of the pickup truck -- Chris Anthony Bentley, 39, of Midland -- and a passenger in that truck -- John Heath Morales, 39, of Marfa -- died on the scene.

The driver of the big rig -- Andrew Jerry Muniz, 25, of Odessa -- was rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.

    No citations were written.
