The North Carolina Tarheels were warming up in no question one of the oddest arenas anywhere.
Over the last few weeks, it's been a full court press to transform a Nuclear powered carrier that is already impressive on its own. The players got their first glimpse a few days ago. Taking pictures of the court on their phones and cameras.
The sailors who live and work on the ship have also been standing in awe as construction of the basketball court and stands has progressed.
Eight hundred sailors on the ship received tickets stamped with their name on it, to prevent fraud. All attendees have to show ID to get in to the game.
The stands will hold about seven thousand people including a number of fans and alumni from both teams.
In honor of Veteran's Day a number of wounded warriors will also be in the stands, a fact that touched Michigan State Coach Tom Izzo. Who said the game is bigger than North Carolina against Michigan State, and its kind of a dream come true.
Not only the court but every normal ESPN camera and production device also had to be brought in too. Just in case of rain, stands are partially up in the hangar bay.
President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are scheduled to attend. The game set to tip off just after 4 pm.
