DES MOINES, IOWA -- Texas Governor Rick Perry is reiterating his commitment to conservative values as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.

Perry told attendees at the Presidential Thanksgiving Family Forum in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday that he is a, quote, "faithful, fiscal and social conservative of conviction, not of convenience."

The GOP Presidential candidate told the crowd that traditional family values are important to him, adding that he's signed more pro-life legislation than any other Texas governor.

He also spoke about supporting traditional marriage and the right to bear arms.
