WASHINGTON, DC -- Texas is getting $2.5 million to help repair roads and bridges that were damaged by Texas wildfires.

The funding is coming from the U.S. Department of Transportation, which is giving out hundreds of millions of dollars nationwide.

The money will also be used to help remove debris and handle other necessary clean-up coming from all of the summer wildfires.

It's not yet clear where the money will be going in Texas -- but most of it is expected to go to the Austin and Houston areas.
