The Empire State Building Up for Sale

The iconic skyscraper and two other properties in Manhattan might become part of a public company and real estate investment trust.
Which means investors could buy stock in the buildings. Malkin Holding, the group who currently controls the properties filed papers with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Empire State Building was completed in 1931 and stretches an impressive 102 stories high. The building has undergone numerous renovations as well as energy efficiency upgrades.
