Virginia Primary: Which Candidates Did Not Make the Ballot

By: Big 2 News Staff
Updated: December 26, 2011
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will not appear on the Virginia primary ballot. That's because he didn't submit the 10,000 signatures needed to qualify, the Republican Party of Virginia said on its Twitter page early this morning.

The announcement came one day after the Republican Party of Virginia said Texas Governor Rick Perry will not appear on the Virginia primary ballot.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Texas Representative Ron Paul have both qualified for Virginia's primary ballot.
