BP may soon be hit with criminal charges for the Gulf oil spill last April.

According to the Wall Street Journal, prosecutors are considering charging several BP employees for allegedly providing false information to regulators about drilling risks.

Felony charges could be announced next year. The oil spill is considered the worst in U.S. history. Eleven workers died.
