Man Accused Of Online Solicitation Of A Minor Helped With Hailey Dunn Search

BIG SPRING -- A former Big Spring radio weatherman arrested for soliciting a 16-year-old online was a volunteer searcher for missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn.
During the past year, Kyle Guthrie produced several online videos related to the searches for the 13-year-old girl, who was last seen on December 27, 2010.
Guthrie's involvement in the search ultimately led to him getting a job as a weatherman at KBST Radio in Big Spring in 2011.
Guthrie, 28, was arrested on Tuesday, after the Howard County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Homeland Security searched his home and seized some electronics.
The Howard County Sheriff's Department first got word on February 3rd that Guthrie was allegedly sending a 16-year-old sexually explicit internet messages. Those claims prompted the investigation that led to Guthrie's arrest.
Guthrie is charged with online solicitation of a minor. He's being held on $20,000 bond.
