New Program Mails Contreceptives To Teens

SACRAMENTO --  A new program being launched this week allows teenagers to order free condoms through the mail.

The Condom Access Project is available in five California counties.

Young people between the age of 12 and 19 may place one order of ten condoms per month.

Some critics say it will promote underage sex, but the California Health Council says studies show that access to birth control does not encourage teens to have sex.
