HOBBS, NM -- A Hobbs man is accused of shooting another man in the stomach.

Lea County Sheriff's deputies and a Hobbs Police SWAT team arrested Chris Webb at his home around 1:30 PM Wednesday.

Deputies say Webb, 35, shot Chris Mulling in the stomach at an Exxon gas station Wednesday. The incident happened on the Texas-New Mexico state line along U.S. 62/180 near Hobbs.

The two men were reportedly fighting over a woman before the shooting.

Mulling, 31, was recovering in a Lubbock hospital Thursday.

As of Thursday night, Webb was being held in the Lea County Detention Center on $13,000 bond.
