MIDLAND -- An Albuquerque, NM man is accused of breaking a Midland store clerk's wrist during a robbery attempt.

Donald James Palmer, Jr. was arrested on February 26th and charged with aggravated robbery.

Midland Police say Palmer, 40, tried to steal two 20-packs of Bud Light from the 7-Eleven at 809 South Midkiff Road on February 26th. During the incident, Palmer reportedly broke the store clerk's wrist.

The clerk was later taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for the broken wrist.

Palmer had reportedly already left the store in a white Chevy Cavalier when officers showed up. Officers later tracked down the Cavalier and arrested Palmer.

Now, Palmer is charged with aggravated robbery, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of marijuana. As of Wednesday evening, he was being held on $12,500 bond.
