New Judge Appointed For FLDS Trial In Midland

MIDLAND -- A trial against a F.L.D.S. member will have a new judge presiding over it.
District Judge Robert Moore of Big Spring will replace Barbara Walther of San Angelo on the bench for Wendell Loy Nielsen's bigamy trial.
Nielsen's accused of marrying 3 women at the Yearning For Zion Ranch near Eldorado in 2006.
Nielsen's trial will be held in Midland later in March because of media attention in San Angelo.
Judge Moore has also been presiding over cases in the 238th District Court in Midland County since the January 2nd death of District Judge John Hyde.
