3-5A Baseball Roundup 3-23

MIDLAND/ODESSA - The Midland High Bulldogs took over sole possession of first place in the district with a 5-1 win over Odessa High.

Will Taylor pitched a steller game for the Bulldogs.

MHS will take on Abilene in their next game while Odessa will take the field against Sweetwater.

Over at Ernie Johnson Field in Midland, the Lee Rebels used a 9 run 4th inning in which they only got one hit en route to a 15-4 victory.

In that 4th inning, permian pitchers walked seven batter and hitting two with a pitch.

Lee will play Wayland Baptist JV Saturday while Permian is off until next Friday when they play host to San Angelo Central.
