JEFF DAVIS COUNTY -- Around 6:30pm on Thursday people living in the Davis Mountain Resort were finally allowed to return to their homes.

Earlier this week, the Livermore Ranch Fire forced dozens to evacuate as the flames got too close.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Livermore Ranch Fire has burned 13,387 acres. The fire was listed as 40 percent contained Thursday.

Now, though, the Texas Forest Service believes that fire crews have gotten enough control of the wildfire to keep homes from being in danger.  That's why they've lifted the evacuation order.

The Spring Mountain Fire had scorched 10,576 acres as of Thursday afternoon. The fire was listed at 60 percent contained Thursday.
