Hundreds of firefighters pulled out of Jeff Davis County over the weekend, as only a few small hot spots from the Livermore Ranch Fire and Spring Mountain Fires remained.
The Livermore Ranch Fire and Spring Mountain Fire combined to burn more than 24,000 acres since April 24th. The Livermore Ranch Fire also forced dozens of evacuations at the Davis Mountain Resort last week, although the evacuations were later lifted.
The Texas Forest Service and local firefighters will continue monitoring the remnants of both wildfires until they're completely out.
Crews hope that the anticipated rains in West Texas will help put out what's left of the fires.
